Christopher Mufarrige is Assistant General Counsel, Director at Marqeta.

Prior to that, he served in roles at TechGC and the CFTC. Prior to that, he was an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Before that, he worked at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and in the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, focusing on administrative law and financial services. He also served in the director’s office at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he worked on legislative rulemakings and enforcement matters. Chris assisted in developing the CFPB’s Symposium on Abusive Acts or Practices and also assisted in drafting the bureau’s policy statement on abusive acts or practices. In addition, he counseled the director, deputy director, and policy associate directors on guidance documents, drafted policy speeches, and represented the CFPB at the deputies meeting for the Financial Stability Oversight Council.
